Reinstall Adobe Application Manager For Mac Cs6

broken image

Adobe this week has released an update for Adobe Photoshop (13.0.2) and Adobe illustrator CS6 (16.0.3), which is now available for Mac users. If you have purchased a genuine copy of Adobe's Creative Suite 6, then download the new updates by launching Adobe Application Manager.

Verify that you have full control of the following Mac folders: //Applications/Adobe and /Library/Application Support/Adobe/. Detected database journal file, Adobe Application Manager is in corrupted state at: Power off or Installer was killed when installation was going on. AAM installation is corrupted: Redownload and extract the installer. Download adobe application manager 10 for free. System Tools downloads - Adobe Application Manager by Adobe Systems Inc. And many more programs are available for instant and free download.

Adobe Application Manager (AAM) is a helper application used to manage the installation of many Adobe products. If you have a Creative Cloud membership, the Adobe Application Manager will automatically update to the Creative Cloud desktop app, as long as you are running Mac OS 10.7 or later, or Windows 7 or later. Once the installation process is completed, installation box will disappear, then open Application folder and locate Adobe Application manager launch icon, double click on it and update. Once the update is completed. Try to install After Effects CS 6 again. Note: it is better to copy the contents of disc to computer and then try to install.

Retina MacBook Pro owners will find this updates valuable, as Adobe has refined and revised Photoshop and illustrator specially for these notebooks.

Creative Cloud members will also get this upgraded version. Creative Cloud, if you remember, is a subscription-based service from Adobe that brings all the favorite Adobe CS6 apps to the cloud. Anyone can access the apps by paying a fixed monthly or annual fee. It's already a success — over a million users have joined Creative Cloud within one year.

Mac OS X users can upgrade Photoshop and illustrator by following these two steps:

  • In Photoshop or Illustrator, choose Help > Updates
  • The Adobe Application Manager will launch. Select Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator CS6 and choose 'Update.'

Problem Updating Adobe CS6?

You may face a problem or two while trying to update. For instance, the CS6 update may fail during the download, or the update manager may not show any new updates. In any case, the first step we recommend you is to check the 'Adobe Application Manager.'

Make sure that Adobe Application Manager is up-to-date — visit this page and download the latest version. Relaunch the manager and the updates should be visible.

Manually Download Photoshop 13.0.2, illustrator 16.0.3 Update

You can also download the update files off the Adobe's server. Note that error message like 'Update Failed – Update could not be applied' may appear on odd occasion, which can be resolved by reinstalling Photoshop or illustrator. Also note that reinstalling these programs will convert them into trial version, so you have to apply the serial keys once again.

Photoshop :: Stuck In Adobe Application Manager Is Missing Or Damaged

May 10, 2012

This problem began for me after installing the PSCS6 beta. I started getting a popup saying 'Adobe Application Manager is missing or damaged' and advising me to download and reinstall AAM. I did that, with no result. The responses from Adobe ('you must have a bad installer'). I was able to leave the beta as it was and use PSCS5.
Fast forward: PSCS6 is released and I purchase and try to install the upgrade, which won't install with the beta present. The Beta uninstaller won't run because of the AAM error. I laboriously search and delete all files related to the beta.PSCS6 release version installs, but when it starts I get a popup witht the same message about AAM. I have spent over 12 hours in chat with Adobe support with only negative results. Not only have they not fixed the problem -- they have managed to propagate it to my PSCS5 installation -- which they subsequently deleted.
As part of attempting to diagnose I have tried the PSCS6 unistaller, which fails with the same error; used the CS cleaner tool and reinstalled -- same problem; verified permissions and file ssytem on my system drive; tried removing CS6 and reinstalling from a new, clean admin account -- same AAM error.
I am at my wits' end with this. I have NO working verion of photoshop (big problem for a photographer/designer), NO confidence in Adobe support (most of the 12 hours was watching them try the same things we had done several times before), and how to fix this short of stripping my Mac back to the metal and reinstalling everything. Photoshop :: Failed Installation - How To Rerun Adobe Application Manager Updates For CS6

Oct 2, 2012

The installation of Adobe Extension Manager CS6 failed - while 2 others update for Photoshop CS6 did install. I was installing Adobe Reader X. That's why I discovered the notification from the application manager about updates for CS6 - and I just confirmed that as well.
Apparently the Reader installation blocked only the update installation of Adobe Extension Manager CS6 - saying another installation process was running .. such stuff happens sometimes.
However, it seems Adobes Application Manager update module does not track its failed installations? It does not automatically advertise that update has not been installed and notifying me again to install it. At least not immediately. So how do I rerun the Adobe Application Manager update module to check for updates manually?

Although I'm following up with PSKiss to see if there's a problem at this end, I also see an issue with Adobe Extension Manager. When I open it, the Install button is grayed-out. I can see neither of the plug-ins I've already installed in Photoshop, nor can I install anything new. I am running Adobe Extension Manager as Administrator.
